|
During this holiday season, the Jason Taylor Foundation teamed up with KPMG, the U.S. member firm of KPMG International audit, tax and advisory firm, to provide more than 300 new books to the kids at the Jason Taylor Children's Learning Center at Holtz Children's Hospital, located at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. This generous donation was derived from KPMG's nationwide Family for Literacy program.
Among the volunteers for this holiday visit was Katina Taylor, wife of Miami Dolphins legendary defender Jason Taylor and Vice President of the Jason Taylor Foundation, as well as their three children who helped distribute books and gifts to pediatric patients. Special deliveries were made to pediatric patients too sick to leave their rooms at Holtz Children's Hospital.
The Jason Taylor Children's Learning Center is an integral component of Holtz Children's Hospital, one of the largest and most respected children's hospitals in the United States. The Learning Center is critical for kids enduring extended hospital stays, providing them the resources to keep up with their school work and maintain contact with family and friends. Consisting of four rooms and twenty-two computer stations located in key areas of Holtz, the Jason Taylor Children's Learning Center also features a wireless Internet system for pediatric patients too sick to leave their beds.
Combining their passion for youth and education, KPMG and the Jason Taylor Foundation helped make the holidays special for many children and their families at Holtz Children's Hospital.
